Dunno....been busy.....other important stuff.....no spare time......just tired a lot.....
Whatever, I just haven't posted for a while.
Thought I should try to start up again.
First thing that comes to my mind is that my oldest son is now in University - Everyone told us that the particular university doesn't take homeschoolers, and anyway the ACE system we are using was not good enough to make it.
Can I say to anyone who uses ACE and is worried - that is a load of manure.
It took some work and personally talking to uni staff, but they were impressed with his knowledge and competency in maths and sciences.
Since he is doing computer science they were important prerequisites.
When we finally had a face to face assessment with science and maths staff they were happy with his levels - in fact he was told that he had completed the first semester of physics as far as the lecturer was concerned, and that he would have no problem with maths either - "first term should be review" is what he said.
Pleased also with the other kids too - all working hard and taking places in church ministries without us pushing them.
Second son is just about to start another season of Rugby Union - first practice match last night - he worked his heart out on the field. Should be a good season.
Time to go and get stuck into the world again.
